Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary

FDI Poultry Equipment is a leading manufacturer of poultry cage systems for farms across North America and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to assist with the daily operations within our manufacturing environment.

We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder. You should be organized and have strong problem-solving skills. The work is hands-on and varied. Some experience is required.

Duties:

- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to determine project specifications

- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using various welding techniques

- Operate and maintain welding equipment

- Perform welding tasks such as cutting, grinding, and polishing to prepare materials for fabrication

- Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, shape, and fit metal components

- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet industry standards

- Collaborate with team members to plan and prioritize work orders

- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a fabricator/welder, minimum 5 yrs

- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding techniques

- Ability to operate forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
