The Executive Assistant - Legal Operations plays a key role in supporting the effectiveness and efficiency of the Legal and Corporate Affairs Group. Reporting to the Vice President, Legal and Corporate Affairs, General Counsel, and working closely with the (Senior) Legal Counsel, this role is responsible for overseeing the department’s systems and processes relating to matter management, records management, financial security monitoring, and compliance reporting.
· Administer legal matter and document management systems
· Maintain legal records and ensure compliance with policies
· Monitor retailer financial security and prudential documentation
· Prepare standard legal documents and assist with special projects
· Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
· Experience with document management systems and contract administration is an asset
· Legal Assistant diploma or college certificate in office administration or Information & Communications Technologies or equivalent.
· Three to five years’ experience as a legal assistant in a corporate legal department or business-focused private practice environment preferred.
· An administrative assistant with equivalent experience acquired in a professional services or contracts administration environment will be considered.
