Position Summary
The Enterprise Applications Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, maintaining, and managing the Enterprise Applications team. This position focuses on providing efficient, dependable, and timely data, software, and workflow solutions aligned with the business objectives of the Cooperative. The individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design solutions to meet organizational objectives and provide administrative direction for the daily operational activities of the Enterprise Applications team. This role collaborates with other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective software solutions within the Cooperative.
Essential Job Functions
•Lead the Enterprise Applications team, including recruitment, supervision, professional development, and setting strategic goals.
•Oversee the design, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of enterprise-level applications and database systems.
•Develop and implement comprehensive data and artificial intelligence strategies aligned with organizational goals.
•Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms, including centralized data repositories.
•Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams to maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
•Develop and maintain data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans in partnership with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams.
•Lead data governance processes and ensure compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
•Work cross-functionally with senior leadership, department heads, and stakeholder groups to understand data needs, define application and process requirements, and deliver strategic solutions.
•Direct research and procurement efforts for new application and process solutions to support digital transformation.
•Develop performance metrics for IT services and enable continuous improvement activities in collaboration with stakeholders.
•Manage and maintain the Enterprise Applications team's budget and assist in preparing budgets for broader IT systems and services.
•Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
•Balance competing project constraints (scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, risk) while delivering business-critical solutions.
•Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data, applications, and workflow systems. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with the Cooperative's executives, department heads, and end users.
•Maintain relationships with external software, hardware, and contract vendors.
Position Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Information Technology or Computer Science preferred, or a minimum of 5-10 years equivalent experience.
+ Required 6 years of software and/or technology project management experience.
+ Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
+ Preferred hands-on experience as a database administrator.
+ Strong knowledge of utility enterprise data systems (CIS, FIS, AMI, OMS, MDM, etc.), enterprise-level data reporting systems, and system integration methods.
+ Proficiency with Office 365 applications, including Power BI, Power Apps, and other Office 365 tools.
+ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BIor Tableau) and SQL for data analysis and visualization.
+ Knowledge of compliance, data privacy, and cybersecurity best practices and laws.
+ Excellent problem-solving, customer service, and presentation skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to influence and make recommendations to end users at all levels of the Cooperative.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects and competing priorities simultaneously with minimal guidance and high attention to detail.
+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and think strategically and tactically as required.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write policies, procedures, and processes.
Relationships
•Reports to the Vice President, Information Technology
•Internal Relationships include:
+ Direct supervision of Enterprise Applications Senior Analyst, Enterprise Applications Analyst, Office 365 Specialist.
