The Enterprise Applications and Data/Business Relationship Manager serves as the IT strategic interface with assigned business functions and/or divisions. The Enterprise Applications and Data/Business Relationship Manager works directly with business clients to understand end-to-end business processes and translate needs into IT opportunities and investments. As a trusted advisor and advocate for the business function and/or division, this position provides valued strategic consulting/guidance and ensures IT services meet the business functions’/division’s needs while driving enterprise-wide collaboration and a culture of creativity, innovation and value that reflects the business strategy as a whole. This position facilitates and leads the planning and execution of IT initiatives to enable the enterprise and the individual functions/divisions to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology.
This position is an Individual Contributor role. The role directly reports to the Director, Applications and Data Management and routinely interacts with Global IT, Global Business Leads, Global Functional Leads, Project Management, and Functional Leaders.
Responsibilities•Proactively communicate with the business function/division and support the leadership team, including leading a rich dialogue on I.T. service performance, spend and priorities.
•Analyze the business function/division needs ranging from strategic perspectives to service requirements. Ensure IT understands the full spectrum of the business function/division requirements.
•Advocate for the business function/division across the IT function, ensuring that ideas & feedback from the business function/divisions are incorporated into IT plans, initiatives, and activities.
•Drive continuous improvement across the Enterprise, seeking opportunities to apply IT knowledge, skills, products, and services to improve business processes and the end user experience.
•Maintain a comprehensive corporate level satisfaction and suggestion program, including formal/informal communications, surveys, and metrics.
•Inform business function/division leaders on the state of their team’s satisfaction and feedback/suggestions to the IT organization on how to improve the satisfaction.
•Responsible for staying abreast of business issues and industry trends to anticipate impacts of technology changes on the workforce and business.
•Ensure effective governance throughout the enterprise project lifecycle.
•Facilitate service transition to operations for the business functions/divisions, including participation in testing activities, service negotiation tasks and other appropriate change management activities.
•Facilitate the I.T. Planning & Governance by ensuring the business functions/divisions awareness and participation.
•Coordinate with the Enterprise Technology Architecture team to ensure the business function’s/division’s requirements are included in technology standards and product selections.
•Define and sustain change management/control procedures (CAB) ITIL based which discipline the applications development process, ensuring that adjustments to client requirements are effectively rationalized.
•Assist the business functions/divisions to ensure critical change management tasks are accomplished.
•Coordinate with the Cybersecurity, Applications, and Infrastructure Management teams to provide the business function’s/division’s perspectives on service contracts, operations, and improvement opportunities
•Coordinate with other groups within the IT organization to ensure all relevant considerations are communicated to the appropriate business function/division stakeholders.
•Serve as the key technology spokesperson for the IT function with key business function/division stakeholders or external clients/partners/suppliers, as appropriate, to demonstrate best practices.
•Coordinate the business function’s/division’s projects and operations teams.
•Manage incoming demand requests; identify requirements, facilitate Steering Committee meetings, set objectives; monitor and evaluate the quality, accuracy and outcome of work.
•Prepare cost-benefit analyses for projects and assist business stakeholders in prioritizing projects submitted to the Demand Management Steering Committee.
•Work with stakeholders and project teams to prioritize requirements.
•Manage a staff of technology professionals, hire and train new staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development programs for team members.

•Assist in the execution of IT accounting and supply chain processes such as annual budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, purchasing, and vendor management.

Qualifications
•A bachelor’s degree in information systems, information technology, or equivalent work experience.
•Preferred 15 years’ experience working in an IT business relationship role in collaboration with Information and Technology teams alongside functional business leaders to establish business needs and lead projects through full life cycle required.
•Demonstrated experience in strategic technology planning
•Demonstrated experience in leading the prioritization of multiple strategic objectives
•Demonstrated experience with organizational change management
•Familiarity with the functioning of a program management office and governance frameworks
•Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings.
•Proven experience in managing complex solutions portfolios including both business and operational solutions.
•Proven experience with creating and managing outsourced relationships, both domestic and global.
•Experience migrating applications (commercial and internally developed) into a cloud solution (SaaS).
•Experience managing vendor relationships (ex: Hexagon, Oracle, SAP, Autodesk, Sales Force, Autodesk, ADP, Microsoft).
•Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework and using it to standardize the selection, planning, delivery, maintenance and overall lifecycle of applications.
•Experience successfully engaging and managing contract resources.
•Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
•Experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry a plus.
•Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) or Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM) preferred.
