The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $138,343.20 - $172,929
Job Summary
The IT Applications Manager will be responsible to manage and oversight all the Networks Applications that support the Business processes of the different Business Areas under its responsibility and will work collaboratively with business areas management team and the IT Sr. Leadership team in gathering, analyzing, characterizing, balancing and prioritizing Project requests coming from Business Areas under its responsibility, as well as day to day application maintenance requests.
This person must be focus on understanding customer needs and meeting SLA's, assessing initial project requirements and providing on-going IT guidance. This role also will be responsible to define and deliver the IT Applications Roadmap aligned with Business Areas Strategy, Objectives and Priorities. Through a team approach, links the business area needs with value-added services and IT technology strategy, manage the Application Map under its responsibility looking for Efficiency, Integration/Consolidation and Evolution Transformation.
The position holder will effectively manage the team to provide proper support and maintenance to the applications under its responsibility, control the development under its responsibility on a day-to-day basis and support requirement, projects and roadmaps ensuring that resources are provided to meet project needs and maintaining relationship between the business area and IT.
The manager holder will be responsible for all people management activities including annual performance management and continuous mentoring for all staff, developing existing talent and recruiting new talent.
Key Responsibilities
•Understands business processes and manages business relationships. Conduct governance meetings with business lead and review Roadmap/Portfolio, Maintenance Service Requests and SLAs adherence.
•Responsible for Electric and Gas Networks Apps supporting all Operations Organization and coordinating Global changes.
•Work collaboratively with the business area and IT management team and staff in the development and maintenance of business applications/solutions and ensure IT standards are followed.
•Responsible to drive the annual demand process (PDS) with the business areas under its responsibility. Work collaborative with the Business to analyze, characterize and prioritize that demand and align Business and IT Strategies.
•Responsible to manage all the applications maintenance and support requests for all the applications under its responsibility. Work collaborative with the Business to analyze, characterize and prioritize the Backlog and monitors the progress of these requests on a regularly basis.
•Responsible to manage the Application Map under its responsibility looking for Efficiency, Integration/Consolidation and Evolution/Transformation.
•Actively participates in IT strategic planning and other IT leadership processes as required.
•Ensure effective lines of communication between various areas, processes and members are established and maintained. Engaging with TPO, Architecture, and Business Office team’s member to ensure required resources are allocated to the different applications projects.
•Manages all IT staff assigned to their area, including internal IT staff and external IT resources (contractors), on a day-to-day basis.
•Responsible for the staff performance evaluation process for staff assigned to them. Proactively assesses IT resource requirements for business area initiatives which includes skill set requirements and training needs.
•Develops and manages strategic map and roadmaps for the Application development areas assigned.
•Manages and enforces IT standards, processes, policies and methodologies.
•Direct Projects and business initiatives: lead, guide, and facilitate projects/process teams that include 5 - 12 professional IT Analysts; Resolve technical/project team issues.
•Serve as Electric and Gas Networks Apps subject-matter expert.
•Manage implementation of medium/large scale Electric and Gas Networks Apps solutions/projects.
•Oversee external vendors/resources and engage in related contract negotiations.
•After hour on-call rotation when required.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems plus at least 10 or more years of relevant professional experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Proficiency in management of all the stages of IT project; concept, design thinking, implementation, UAT and commissioning is required.
•Experience in procurement processes for software/projects and budget management is required.
•Experience with Jira, Confluence and Zephyr preferred.
•Experience must include 5 years or more working as a Functional Analyst, Business Relationship or in an IT consulting role as well as prior managing IT projects and resolving day to day issues. 2 years or more in a leadership role.
•Experience managing area and project budget (CAPEX and OPEX).
•Experience with Application Lifecycle Management is required.
•Proficient with Mobility solutions (Android, IOS and Windows) and Electric and Gas Applications preferred.
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems plus at least 10 or more years of relevant professional experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skill/Abilities
•Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, organizational skills and ability to perform efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment is required.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
