Draftsperson

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics that support various engineering and construction projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize advanced CAD software and drafting skills in a collaborative environment, contributing to innovative solutions across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

· High school diploma as well as education in drafting and design is required.

· Experience drafting structural steel preferably within the metal building industry.

· 2D Auto CAD is a requirement with 3D Auto CAD being considered an asset.

· Must have the ability to read and interpret scope of work and specifications.

· Experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint would be an asset.

· Must be able to work individually as well as effectively collaborate with others.

· Effectively communicate with other staff and customers to create and confirm project details.

· Create a structural bill of materials.

· Create building material cut lists and layouts for building fabrication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
