Junior Draftsperson

Summary

CEC is currently looking for a Junior Draftsperson to join the team. This position will be primarily focused on providing assistance to senior personnel in the provision of drafting services to our Transmission and Distribution, Electrical, and Mechanical teams. The individual should be an innovative and imaginative with a strong attention to detail who enjoys tackling new and diverse projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide drafting services using AutoCAD software.

- Assist with the preparation of transmission line and distribution line drawings.

- Assist with the preparation of design drawings for mechanical, structural, electrical, and other systems.

- Assist in preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM) for work packages.

- Assist with the preparation of construction work packages.

- Assist with the review of vendor drawings.

- Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD software.

- Post secondary education is required.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Displays superior communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of initiative, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure.

- Displays a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in completion of tasks.

- Knowledge of and experience in transmission line and distribution line designs would be an asset.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Word.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD software.

- Knowledge of construction and design methods would be an asset.

This person will report to the Drafting Team Lead. Our team is based in Vancouver, BC. Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
