Job Summary
The Division Order Analyst is responsible for supporting the setup and maintenance of ownership records to ensure accurate and timely revenue distribution for oil and gas properties. This role works closely with Land, Accounting, Legal, and Operations teams to interpret title documentation, maintain ownership decks, and assist with division order processes.
The ideal candidate has foundational experience in division orders or oil and gas title work, with preferred experience in Oklahoma and/or Arkansas.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret title documents including deeds, leases, title opinions, probate documents, assignments, and curative instruments.
- Assist in determining ownership interests for new wells, acquisitions, divestitures, and leasehold changes.
- Identify basic title defects and coordinate curative requirements under supervision.
- Set up and maintain ownership decks for producing properties in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare and issue division orders in accordance with company policies and state statutory requirements.
- Partner with Revenue Accounting to support accurate distribution of proceeds and assist with suspense resolution.
- Research and respond to ownership, payment, and title inquiries from interest owners and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state laws, particularly in Oklahoma and/or Arkansas.
- Enter, audit, and maintain ownership data in land and revenue management systems.
- Support regulatory documentation needs related to pooling, unitization, and related filings.
- Assist with acquisitions and divestiture ownership transitions as directed.
- Participate in periodic ownership audits and data validation efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support well setup and ownership changes.
- Contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiencies.
