Description

We’re looking for a strategic, people-first Sales Director to lead a high-performing team through our next phase of growth. In this role, you’ll directly manage 5 experienced Team Leaders and indirectly support a talented group of 30 Sales Managers across North America. You'll be responsible for driving revenue, refining our sales strategy, and coaching the team to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities As the Sales Director, you’ll play a key role in leading Verdant’s growing sales organization. Here's what you'll be responsible for

:

Team Leadership: Directly manage 5 Team Leaders and support a team of 30 Sales Managers across North America. Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and development to ensure high performance and engagement.

Sales Strategy & Execution: Set clear targets and drive strategic plans to meet and exceed revenue goals. Monitor pipeline health, forecast accurately, and ensure consistent sales process execution.
Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Operations to align go-to-market strategies and provide customer insights. Represent Sales in leadership discussions and contribute to business-wide planning.
Operations & Optimization: Oversee CRM usage (Salesforce), improve tools and processes, and support reporting, analysis, and performance tracking. Lead initiatives to improve team efficiency and sales enablement.
Talent & Culture: Participate in hiring and onboarding. Champion a collaborative, goal-oriented, and customer-focused team culture.


Required Education, Experiences & Skills

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
6–8 years of experience successfully leading large, diverse sales teams
Proven expertise in CRM and sales enablement platforms
Strong leadership, coaching, and strategic planning skills to drive performance and growth
A sharp analytical mindset paired with a people-first leadership style
The ability to balance day-to-day execution with long-term strategic vision
Confidence in working independently and collaborating across diverse personalities and teams


Preferred Education, Experiences & Skills

Experience building/growing a sales team
Salesforce experience
MBA

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
