While this position is based at Idaho Power’s downtown Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.
What does a Departmental Specialist do for us?
Under minimum direction and acting on own initiative and direction, provide complex specialized support for the Environmental Affairs and Water Resources & Merchant departments. This position will support senior and business unit managers and associated staff and is a primary point of contact for the departments.
Duties include maintenance of complicated data systems; research, compilation, and analysis of data for reports/studies/presentations; and supporting department financial processes. This role supports Customer Service in support calls regarding park reservations. Assignments often involve work of a confidential nature and require knowledge of the practices and procedures of the business units, company policies and programs and other duties as assigned. This individual will provide professional assistance via phone, mail, and email, making reservations and travel arrangements, as well as department filings, supply ordering, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace. They act as coordinator of departmental projects and will provide guidance and training for staff on administrative procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
