The Demand Planner is responsible for setting sales planning, managing goals and performance, and driving operations and business through the sales of PV modules and systems. This position reports to the Head of Residential Business or another senior personnel that the President of the Company may designate. The candidate will be based out of our Irvine, California headquarters and will be required to travel up to 20%.
- Assist in capitalizing on Hanwha Q CELLS America’s existing solar business to identify and manage:
- Research and analysis of PV market trends and customers
- Setting and managing business goals for the US market
- Monitoring overall performance and in-depth data analysis
- Managing Sales and Operations data and extracting insight
- Supporting management decisions with internal and external research and analysis
- Assist with all communications with Hanwha Q CELLS headquarters, sales entities, and manufacturing facilities in the following locations:
- Sales entities: Canada, Korea, Germany, Japan, and others
- Manufacturing facilities: US (GA), Korea, Malaysia, and China
- Assist in strategic planning for market expansion and revenue growth
- Develop effective demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
- Provide input to the supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing inventory, new products, and product phase-outs
- Closely coordinate and communicate action plans with Sales and Operations
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
- All other duties as assigned by the Head of Residential Business
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Bilingual in Korean is a must
- Previous sales and/or sales planning experience preferred (1+ years)- Strong business analysis skills, including strong MS office knowledge
- Ability to analyze and react to market trends, competitive pressures, and implications of these changes
- Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time
- Must be comfortable interfacing outside the company, including executive presentations, negotiations, and contractual review

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
