The Demand Planning Supervisor is responsible forleading training and onboarding, standardizing demand planning processes, and driving operational excellence through cross-functional collaboration.

What You Will Be Doing
The Demand Planer Supervisor is responsible for leading, developing, and supporting the Demand Planning team through structured training, onboarding, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures consistent execution of demand planning activities, maintains high-quality standards, and drives operational efficiency across the team.
Training & Onboarding
- Develop and deliver structured training programs for new and existing team members.
- Lead onboarding for new hires to ensure understanding of company policies, systems, and role expectations.
- Provide ongoing mentorship during the initial onboarding period and beyond.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs to improve outcomes.
- Document demand planning processes and procedures to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all relevant workflows.
- Ensure process documentation remains current as systems, tools, and business needs evolve.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead implementation of best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Supply Planning, Purchasing, Sales, and Operations.
- Ensure data integrity and adherence to planning standards across the team.

- Adherence to the Sandvik Environmental, Health & Safety Policy.
- Attending health and safety related trainings.
- Performing Risk Assessments (“Take Five”) prior to each task.
- Identification and reporting of hazards.
- Working in a safe manner as reasonably practicable.
- Wearing the required PPE assigned for each location.
- Experience developing and delivering effective training and onboarding programs, with a strong mentorship mindset
- Ability to document, standardize, and maintain demand planning processes and SOPs
- A continuous improvement approach to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Supply Planning, Purchasing, Sales, and Operations
- A data-driven focus on accuracy, consistency, and adherence to planning standards
- Willing and able to travel as required- 5+ years leadership experience.
- Background in logistics.
- Bilingual in both French & English considered and asset.
- Associates Degree (or two-year college diploma) in Business or Marketing or Technical Diploma within Engineering, etc. or equivalent demonstrated technical knowledge/expertise.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Valid Passport.
