Since 1983 Horizon Steel has been a leader in the steel processing industry throughout North America. Currently we are searching for a dynamic, motivated individual to join our Customer Service Team. Two years' automotive support experience is required.
The Customer Service role is to ensure Horizon Steel is meeting necessary customer service and quality requirements. This is accomplished by working closely with:
· Sales personnel and the customer to accurately create Sales Orders in our ERP system.
· Procurement and Operations personnel to resolve and prioritize steel delivery or processing issues.
· Shipping personnel to help define optimal truck loads that meet both customer service and Horizon Steel cost requirements.
· Quality to ensure Horizon Steel is adequately responding to customer quality incidents and corrective actions.
· Track status of orders to meet delivery dates and contact customer when delivery dates cannot be met on time.
· Follow-up with Purchasing regarding “NO STEEL” orders
· Perform daily sales order maintenance to keep items current:
· Develop close working relationship with assigned Sales Representative
· Make joint customer calls on key accounts with assigned Sales Representative
· Fully participate and support the Horizon Steel Quality Management System
· 2 years experience in sales/administration support position
· Comfortable with using MS Excel, Outlook and Word.
· Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision
· Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm demeanor (Especially when working directly with customers.)
