Our client is seeking a motivated and service-driven Customer Service Manager to support branch leadership and oversee day-to-day teller line operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring exceptional customer service, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and team development within the branch.
The Customer Service Manager serves as a hands-on leader, mentoring staff, supporting sales and service initiatives, managing operational risk, and acting as a key liaison between the branch and support departments. This is an excellent opportunity for a banking professional who enjoys developing people, maintaining strong controls, and contributing to the overall success of the branch and the community it serves.
- Experience supervising teller operations and frontline banking staff, including tellers and mobile branch drivers
- Proven ability to assist with hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of direct reports
- Strong knowledge of bank policies, procedures, security requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations
- Experience supporting audits, certifications, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting with satisfactory outcomes
- Ability to organize and direct operational workflow to minimize risk and ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Demonstrated experience resolving complex customer questions and concerns while maintaining high service standards
- Ability to manage branch risk and approve policy and procedure exceptions within assigned authority
- Experience monitoring branch operations including cash levels, vault balances, and cash drawer accountability
- Willingness to process transactions as needed and support teller line operations
- Ability to act as backup for opening new accounts and supporting new account representatives
- Strong collaboration skills, including working with management and human resources on staffing, performance reviews, and personnel actions
- Experience contributing to sales goals through customer needs-based product recommendations and referrals
- Experience assisting with branch sales goal development, strategy execution, and profitability monitoring
- Ability to coach and develop staff through goal setting, delegation, problem resolution, and performance management
- Experience monitoring branch income and expenses
- Strong community presence with the ability to represent the bank through professional organizations, civic involvement, and local events
- Attention to detail in monitoring branch facilities, supplies, equipment, and physical appearance to ensure a professional environment
