Reporting to the Director, Corporate Development, the Manager, Corporate Development is responsible for supporting the company’s growth strategy through the evaluation, execution, and integration of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Participate in all aspects of the M&A and strategic transaction process, including:
Building and maintaining complex financial models;
Data room preparation and ongoing management;
Supporting financial and technical due diligence;

Consolidating and summarizing due diligence findings across various disciplines into clear, concise assessments; and
- Coordinating workstreams and contributing to post-transaction integration.
- Manage the corporate development financial model and corporate data room.
- Assist in the identification, monitoring, and evaluation of acquisition opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Capstone (e.g., technical services, finance, investor relations, legal) and external groups (e.g., financial and legal advisors, counterparties).
- Support with the preparation of internal materials for senior management and Board-level decision making.
- Assist in capital allocation analysis and benchmarking organic growth projects against external growth opportunities.
- Any other projects/duties that may arise from time to time as required by the role and/or at the request of the Director, Corporate Development.- 5+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, equity research, mining-focused consulting or other relevant mining technical services roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, commerce, business administration, mining engineering, geology, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling skills with a proven ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience in the natural resources or mining sector.
- Fluency in Spanish is an asset but not required.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is an asset but not required.
- High financial and commercial acumen with strong analytical skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and investment principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking ability.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.
- Natural problem-solver with a proactive, curious approach.
- This position will be based in the Vancouver Office, with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement.
- Some travel inside and outside of Canada may be required from time to time.
