Signal Power Group is scaling quickly and is seeking a proven Business Development Manager who will drive the commercial success in Rental Power Generation. Reporting to the COO, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in Signal Power’s growth and have responsibility of growing market share and new market penetration while meeting or exceeding revenue and gross margin targets.
- Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to achieve and surpass annual sales targets.
- Attend and present at industry functions such as trade shows and technical events and provide feedback/information on market and creative trends.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Strategize to maximize market reach across multiple segments simultaneously.
- Build and advance an opportunity funnel for new and existing accounts to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Provide and maintain a rolling sales forecast and achieve sales targets as established with Company management.
- Participate in weekly sales meeting updates with the sales team and Company management.
- Take full responsibility for both generating leads and successfully closing deals.
- Prepare and submit customer-specific quotations, with blended emphasis on customer satisfaction and profit maximization for the Company.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction within assigned accounts.
- Marketing or Technical degree, sales or equivalent industry experience.
- Knowledge of industrial engines, oilfield equipment and related aftersales components.
- 7 to 10+ years of experience in sales and customer service.- Proven experience in renting power generation equipment to customers both within and beyond the oil and gas Industry.
- Entrepreneurial characteristics, self-starter and able to work in a fast paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent relationship and negotiations skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Proven ability to work with organizational leadership to build consensus around strategy and tactics.
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Availability to travel up to 50% as required.
- Proficient in the English language.
