An iconic family-owned company with a strong community brand seeks a talented Corporate Controller to join the Kinsley Enterprise team.
This role is responsible for the books and records of Kinsley Enterprises (KE), including completing month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis for Kinsley Enterprises. Leads the financial reporting and consolidation of company subsidiaries. Completes the analysis and review of financial results to understand and explain variances to budget, prior year, and management expectations. Prepares management discussion and analysis, summarizing the results of the business, highlighting performance versus budget and prior year, balance sheet metrics, credit capacity, cash position, and cash flow. Adapts and evolves financial reporting to meet the needs of financial statement readers by engaging a continuous improvement mindset. Provides M&A support under the direction of the CFO, including business valuations, due diligence execution, and post-transaction integration of new acquisitions or partnerships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Effectively lead, manage, and develop direct report(s)
•Develops effective relationships with the KE staff, Family Office, and Operating Company Finance leaders.
•Complete month-end close and financial reporting for KE
•Supports the CFO with consolidated reporting across the Enterprise, which includes the preparation and distribution of timely financial information while providing effective tools to measure Company performance and trends, including dashboards, and reporting packages
•Lead the review and analysis of financial results, making inquiries where necessary, to understand variances to budget and prior year and effectively communicate such information with internal stakeholders and financial statement readers
•Direct and coordinate the preparation of the Kinsley Enterprises annual budget
•Coordinate the consolidation and reporting of all operating company budgets
•Supports the preparation of the consolidated federal income tax return and consolidated state income tax returns in jurisdictions where consolidated reporting is planned
•Develops and operates financial processes and business systems best practices, delivering effective and sustainable solutions which simplify work processes and improves financial reporting, budgeting and planning, financial analysis, and internal controls
•Collaborates with the Finance Director of the Kinsley Family Office regarding operating company cash models and supporting the needs aligned with consumption models, estate planning, and tax planning in support of ownership objectives
•Lead the annual compliance testing, financial statement audit, and the Form 5500 preparation and review for the company's retirement plan
•Serve in a back-up capacity for KE Finance and operating company Finance Leader roles
