Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in budgeting, account analysis, and general ledger accounting. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Duties
•Manage the preparation and analysis of budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
•Oversee account reconciliation processes to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
•Supervise general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries and account analysis.
•Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
•Implement and maintain accounting software systems for efficient financial management.
•Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
•Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
•Provide guidance and support to the accounting team on best practices in double-entry bookkeeping.
•Payroll Administration: Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including employee compensation, tax withholdings, and benefits.
•Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with HR, senior management, and CEO to align financial strategies, with organizational needs.
•Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting and payroll team, fostering accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
•Proven experience in public accounting or as a Financial Controller in a corporate environment.
•Strong knowledge of budgeting processes and account analysis techniques.
•Proficiency in accounting software applications and Microsoft Excel.
•Excellent understanding of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
•Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
•Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information clearly.
•Proven experience supporting operational due diligence efforts across operational support, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships i.e., Cost & Margin Analysis: Provide visibility into cost structures, production efficiencies, and margin performance to identify areas for operational improvement or investment. Working Capital Optimization: Advise management on receivables, inventory, and payables to maximize cash flow and reduce risk across business cycles. Strategic Planning Support: Translate operational data into financial impact models, supporting CEOs and Presidents in developing realistic, value-driven business strategies. KPI Development & Tracking: Implement metrics that align with operational goals and company strategy, allowing leadership to proactively manage performance.
•Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a bridge between finance and operations—ensuring that decisions are financially sound while also operationally feasible.
