Position Summary:
The Financial Controller serves as a key financial leader responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial management across all business operations. This role oversees accounting integrity, job costing, tax compliance, and financial controls to safeguard company assets and support strategic decision‑making. The Controller partners closely with executive and operational leadership to deliver reliable financial reporting and maintain strong internal controls.
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
- Perform variance analysis and ensure accurate transaction coding by job, cost category, and department.
- Provide leadership with clear, decision‑ready financial data.
- Maintain job cost integrity across labor, materials, subcontractors, and overhead.
- Oversee sales tax compliance for fabrication and installation services.
- Manage exemption certificates and ensure accurate tax collection and remittance.
- Support payroll tax compliance and year‑end audit activities.
- Maintain rolling 30/60/90‑day cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor AR aging and support collection strategies.
- Ensure AP accuracy and alignment with cash availability.
- Establish and enforce accounting controls and audit trails.
- Ensure accurate integration of payroll, job costing, and procurement systems.
- Support improvements to accounting workflows, reporting tools, and financial processes.
- Financial statements are accurate, timely, and trusted by leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- 7–10+ years of accounting- Expertise in job costing, WIP schedules, revenue recognition, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and financial reporting tools.
