CONTROLLER

Reports to: DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING

Job Description

The Controller is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations to upper management for critical decision making.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

- Supervises Senior Accountant and Project Accountant

- Reviews AR invoices for specialized customers

- Reviews and approves bank and balance sheet reconciliations

- Ensures all cash receipts and revenue events have been recorded properly

- Reviews project cost and other tasks in the accounting system to track expenses

- Assist project managers with budget inquiries and status

- Reviews fixed assets and leases reconciliations

- Reviews cost trackers to Oracle to ensure accurate record keeping and prepares journal entries

- Reviews and approves journal entries to the GL

- Provides support during audits by preparing necessary documentation

- Maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records

- Reviews sales tax filings and ensure timely submissions

- Completes miscellaneous tasks as directed by management

- Prepares and presents at monthly P&L meetings

Qualifications

Education / Training:

High school diploma

Experience:

5 years of Accounting background.

Skills:

Excellent bookkeeping skills. Pays attention to detail. Possess excellent verbal and written skills.

Physical requirement

: Must be able to lift 15 Ibs. Sit for long periods and minimal standing or bending.

Working Conditions:

Climate-controlled office environment - onsite position

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality, detail oriented.

- Able to work independently and as a team player.

- Preferably working knowledge with Oracle.
