Position Overview:
As Financial Controller, reporting directly to the President, you will lead our accounting and financial operations while building and maintaining a strong, collaborative office culture. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in day-to-day financial management and a drive to support our company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
•Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and produce financial statements.
•Manage general ledger setup, system mapping, and financial reporting.
•Perform daily accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, cash flow analysis, and financial reconciliations.
•Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for management review.
•Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations and reviews.
•Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
•Train team members in accounting/finance processes as needed.
•Manage payroll and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax/reporting requirements.
•Serve as the primary point of contact for banking, investment, and financial vendors.
•Participate in strategic planning to improve operations and profitability.
•Conduct inventory assessments and maintain asset records.
•Organize and maintain financial reports, contracts, and vendor documentation.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA or CMA certification and advanced degrees are a plus).
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in small business accounting
•Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and advanced MS Excel skills.
•Experience in the oil field service industry or a related field (international exposure preferred).
•Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and deadline management.
•A proactive, “do-what-it-takes” mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
•Background checks and drug screening required.
Work Environment:
This is an in-office role, Monday to Friday, where you will collaborate closely with the team We prescribe to “work hard, play hard”
