As part of a purposeful team at ASG, an integrated marketing agency that powers progress for corporations, nonprofits, government agencies, and the communities they serve, the Community Engagement Coordinator is a proactive, community-focused professional responsible for activating community engagement campaigns and coordinating activities between community members and cross-functional internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions. The ideal candidate brings experience in people-facing or project-based roles, including volunteer management. Advocacy or organizing experience, whether as a volunteer in the community or on-campus, is a plus.
- Assist events team in execution of events with operational and logistical excellence using industry standard knowledge and applying innovation
- Collaborate with Events & Activations Managers to manage all logistics, such as but not limited to, location sourcing, ordering of supplies, event promotion, event cost management, writing event briefs, vendor management, event staff scheduling, transportation of materials, etc.
- Build and maintain relationships within targeted communities through collaboration and consultation
- Ensure that service standards and quality measures of agency/community/client needs, and demands are established, implemented, and monitored by tracking and reporting KPIs to the Community Engagement team
- Organize storage units and create inventory for events.
- Ensure that staffing needs are met through Brand Ambassador recruitment
- Collaborate with CE department staff to carry out trainings for Brand Ambassadors and build out entry level organizers to increase team-wide capacity
- Build and manage a field leadership team to execute complex field plans
- Maintain a strong professional culture within the field organization focused on accountability, specific goals, innovation, and sense of purpose
- Distribute flyers in key locations, such as places of worship, food pantries, supermarkets, social service hubs etc.
- Create and strengthen partnerships with community organizations and local groups
- Perform additional projects, initiatives, duties, responsibilities for any area throughout ASG while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability, for the overall success of the organization as directed by the Community Engagement Manager and/or their designee(s).- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5+ years of relevant work experience. - 3+ years of experience in community-focused, people-facing, project-based work. - 2+ years in project, event, or community campaign coordination.
- Reliable internet access.
- 2+ years of experience using Excel, databases, and project management software.- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during campaign peaks.
- Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and ability to attend onsite community initiatives as needed.
- Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole).
- Experience collaborating with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of event planning and the needs of varied events.
- Experience with grassroots organizing.
- Ability to coordinate, motivate, and work effectively in team roles (lead, support, and peer).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to monitor campaign progress.
- Ability to build respectful relationships with community members.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
- Experience recruiting, training, and managing volunteers is a plus.
- Creative and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, NGP-VAN, ECanvasser, and advanced Excel/project budgeting software.
- Ability to work independently and self-direct with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse groups.

- Base Salary: Salary range for this position is commensurate with experience. ($54,000-$60,000)
