Job Summary
CitiGreen Inc. is seeking a Commercial Solar Account Representative (B2B) to support the growth of our commercial solar development business in the East Bay. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing commercial solar sales opportunities from initial outreach through contract execution and ongoing customer follow-up during construction and beyond.
This is a field-based sales role focused on direct, consultative selling of commercial solar projects. Sales cycles may range from several months to several years, and projects typically involve significant coordination, detailed follow-up, and long-term relationship management. The ideal candidate has proven B2B sales experience, preferably in commercial solar, and is comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams to move complex projects forward.
- Identify potential commercial solar clients within the assigned East Bay territory
- Prospect new business through direct outreach, site visits, and relationship development with commercial and industrial customers
- Visit prospective client sites to establish contact, evaluate opportunities, and gather project-specific information
- Collect and review electrical usage data and other required site details to support feasibility analysis
- Present commercial solar proposals and clearly explain project scope, economics, incentives, and timelines
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract execution
- Follow up consistently with prospects to advance opportunities through internal review and customer decision processes
- Maintain customer engagement throughout construction and after project completion
- Coordinate with internal engineering, design, and operations teams to support proposal development and project execution
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, opportunities, and activity in Zoho CRM
- Use Badger, Google Earth, and mapping tools to plan territory coverage and site visits
- Long, consultative B2B sales cycle
- Sales cycles may take several months or multiple years
- Typical project sizes range approximately from $300,000 to $3,000,000
- Minimum annual sales target of $3,000,000
- Strong focus on pipeline development, follow-up, and deal progression
- Accurate CRM usage and reporting required
- Zoho CRM for lead and opportunity tracking
- Badger for route planning and territory management
- Google Earth and mapping tools for site review and planning
Required Qualifications
- Proven direct B2B sales experience
- Strong ability to manage a full sales cycle independently
- Experience working with long sales cycles and complex customer decision processes
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role with regular local travel
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Prior commercial solar sales experience
- Familiarity with commercial solar projects and sales processes
- Existing pipeline or a clearly defined approach to generating commercial leads
- Prior experience is expected
- CitiGreen will provide internal training, process support, and access to internal resources to support success
- Base salary starting at $72,800, flexible based on experience
- Commission paid in addition to base salary
- Commission can exceed base compensation when minimum sales targets are met
