This candidate will lead and oversee our CNC operations during the second shift and collaborate closely with the CNC Manager. This role is critical to ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, machine operation and team leadership.
- Coordinate production schedule based on delivery dates promised to customer and available resources
- Launch continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, cycle times and rework
- Estimate cost and lead time for quotations to customer
- Monitor employees' performance and prepares performance evaluations for merit raises
- Report production status, job profitability, and quality performance
- Recommend capital equipment acquisitions to Director of Operations
- Analyze profitability based on production records, time studies and job costing
- Uphold OSHA safety guidelines and company policies
- Supervisory experience including assigning tasks to employees and providing feedback
- Excellent planning skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Background in close tolerance CNC milling, turning or grinding
- Able to read blueprints and familiar with advanced GD&T
- Familiar with precision measuring instruments such as fixed limit gaging, optical comparator and CMM
- Familiarity with AS 9100 D requirements
