Job Overview

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of a Clerical Support Person

Reporting to the Section Manager, this position is responsible for performing skilled clerical and receptionist duties in an office setting within an industrial environment.


Key Accountabilities

Performing front desk receptionist and clerical duties including:

Answering and directing incoming phone calls and greeting external visitors
Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and arranging and dispatching delivery requests
Verify delivery documents against original orders rectifying discrepancies


Using Desktop Computer And Software To

Schedule and maintain a calendar of events, work schedules and vacation records
Taking minutes of meetings, make all necessary arrangements for meetings and training
Uploading documents to the Intranet and maintaining MS Excel spreadsheets and tracking overdue documents
Processing documents and record into OPG’s Approved Information Management System and taking inventory and reordering office supplies


Qualifications

A minimum of a High School Diploma including proficiency in keyboarding and English grammar skills.
A certificate or diploma in Office Administration or Executive Administration is a desirable asset.
This position is subject to computer competency testing

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
