Platte City is seeking a full-time Administrative Support Specialist. This customer-facing position requires excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, multi-tasking, professional flexibility and strong personal ethics. Prior administrative support experience is helpful but not required. Starting salary within the pay range based on employee’s knowledge, experience and capability.
The most significant responsibilities include greeting and assisting the public at City Hall, providing administrative support to senior staff, preparing routine reports, scanning and disseminating information/documents, maintaining confidentiality of non-public information and conveying information verbally and in written form to various audiences.
Applicants must have strong organizational and multitasking abilities, proficiency with common office software applications such as MS Office or Google Office Suite. Due to the need to interact with walk-in customers and other City staff this position is designed as a from the office position.
Starting salary within the pay range will be determined by experience, knowledge and capabilities of the selected individual.
