Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team. The COO will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization while ensuring operational excellence across all departments. This leadership position requires a visionary leader who can drive business development, enhance operational efficiency, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Duties
•Creation and implementation of Quality assurance and quality control training programs and content
•Manage and direct quality assurance and quality control measures to be used and tracked within the installation department
•Research and advise the Board of Directors on opportunities to generate revenue from our Solar service department that achieves a net margin of greater than or equal to 3% for the department and offsets the expense of non-revenue generating service
•Oversee and direct the service / inspection department overall strategy, operations and employees
•Oversee and direct retro operation departments daily operations and employees while implementing KPI’s for the department created by the Board of Directors
•Manage and oversee the fleet department and make capital expenditure recommendations on vehicle procurement to the Board of Directors
•Research and recommend products, services and equipment to be used in our daily operations including panels, inverters, batteries, racking and attachments
•Oversee and manage the warehousing departments to ensure the department maintain accurate inventory on hand and pricing spreadsheets in order to give the CEO and Board of Directors the for purpose of tax planning
•Foster the relationship with CRM provider and drive an initiative to incorporate features and tools not currently being used by the organization to increase the overall effectiveness of the software. Work towards an automated commission tracker that reduces the amount of manhours we are currently spending on the task
Qualifications
•Proven experience in Operations Management at a senior leadership level, preferably as a COO or similar
•Strong background in strategic planning and business development with a track record of successful implementation
•Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals
•Expertise in program management and project management methodologies
•Demonstrated ability to manage change effectively within an organization
•Excellent analytical skills with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
•A degree in Business Administration, Management, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
