Chief Government Affairs Officer (CGAO)
to serve as a strategic executive to senior level management and representing the Company at the highest levels of business, government, and nuclear energy industry. This is a rare opportunity for a leader who brings both corporate gravitas and nuclear or energy sector credibility that is equally fluent in the language of commerce, science and policy.
The CGAO will lead the company’s governmental, federal and engagement strategies. He/She will be driving performance, achieve the company’s growth objectives and maintain a strong industry reputation. The
CGAO
plays a vital role in driving strategy, strengthening organizational operations, and serving as a visible ambassador for the Company at high-level events in [Washington, D.C. and beyond]. This individual must be able to connect with senior decision-makers, extract insight from complex discussions, and advance the organization’s agenda among power players in business, policy, and technology.
The role requires significant experience in governmental from both a regulatory and business perspective, which are essential for managing long term relationships. Only candidates with experience will be considered for this role.
- Advanced degree required in Political Science or real world experience in Washington D.C., MBA or equivalent from a top-tier institution.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 15+ years of senior leadership experience in the energy, technology, consulting, or policy sectors, with a demonstrated record of driving growth and influence in a capital-intensive, [high-tech industry].· Strategic and versatile business leader, possessing the business acumen to represent an organization at conferences, policy roundtables, or in media and public forums.
· Extensive knowledge in nuclear energy policies but not necessary
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and adept at navigating complex relationships and influencing outcomes.
