Job Summary
Incumbents in this position is responsible for assisting and providing support to assigned personnel. This position performs daily maintenance and cleaning of the sanitary sewer camera inspection equipment and assist with sewer cleaning operations. This position is assigned to pay grade G12.
Essential Job Functions
•Assists with the operation of the remote-controlled sewer camera equipment and video monitors for inspection and cleaning of water and sewer systems.
•Prepares set up of equipment at job site to perform sewer mainline inspection to include traffic control, opening manhole locations, and setting up of safety equipment.
•Lifts and lowers the camera crawler into and out of manholes.
•Cleans equipment after each use and performs proper care and maintenance of associated components.
•Maintains all equipment, including assigned vehicle, in clean and proper working order and conducts maintenance on regular basis.
•Maintains inventory of equipment and reports of non-operable equipment to supervisor.
•Trains in all areas of camera operation and procedures to acquire skills for advancement to level of camera operator.
•Performs inventory/property management.
•Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
•High school diploma or GED.
•Six (6) months of work experience in a role such as a sewer inspection camera assistant, entry level plumbing, piping or construction worker helper/assistant, or any related work field.
•NC Grade 1 Collection System Operator certification is preferred.
•Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid State of North Carolina driver's license.

Pay: $37,800.00 - $50,400.00 per year
