This position is responsible for specialized procurement of equipment, materials, services, and Staff Augmentation Personnel to support plant operations. The position requires a sound knowledge of procurement procedures and specific technical knowledge of the commodity or service being procured.
- Reviews and evaluates requisitions and purchase data packages for proper authorization
- Reviews and evaluates Engineering drawings, design specifications, material specifications and quality control specifications
- Manages supplier relationships in accordance with the terms and conditions of the agreement
- Knowledge of cost and price analysis techniques and negotiation strategies for various types of contracts, including fixed-price and time and material
- Performs comparative analysis of quotations to determine the best value offer
- Collaborates with line organizations in evaluating quo
- Determines and documents appropriateness and fairness of offer in single-source and no-bid procurements
- Plans, solicits, awards, and administers subcontracts in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Obtains, completes, and maintains Vendor Registration database
We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of experience in procurement
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Q clearance
- Working knowledge and experience with ORACLE and SharePoint modules
- Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communications
- Working knowledge of government regulatory acquisition requirements (DEAR, FAR)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
