Position Summary
Raleigh Concrete is looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to expand our client base across our full range of services: ready-mix concrete, aggregate delivery, and concrete pumping. This role is essential to growing our presence with commercial contractors, homebuilders, developers, and construction companies in the Raleigh-Durham region and beyond. The ideal candidate is a natural relationship-builder with industry knowledge and a focus on long-term revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Acquisition
•Identify, contact, and develop relationships with key decision-makers in commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
•Promote all service lines: ready-mix concrete, aggregates, concrete pumping and bulk cement supply.
•Generate new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and follow-ups on inbound leads.
•Prepare and deliver professional proposals, pricing quotes, and presentations tailored to each client’s needs.
Market Development
•Explore new markets and project types suitable for concrete pumping and bulk cement supply.
•Analyze trends, competition, and customer needs to refine sales strategies across all service lines.
•Provide input on pricing models and service bundling for competitive advantage.
Account Management
•Act as the key liaison between Raleigh Concrete and clients throughout project lifecycles.
•Coordinate with internal operations, dispatch, and logistics to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
•Monitor client satisfaction and resolve issues promptly to ensure repeat business.
Marketing & Outreach
•Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings to represent Raleigh Concrete and build our professional presence.
•Assist with digital marketing efforts, branding campaigns, and business development materials.
Reporting & Forecasting
•Maintain CRM systems to track leads, proposals, sales activity, and customer data.
•Provide regular updates on pipeline, market feedback, and revenue forecasts to leadership.
Qualifications
•3+ years of experience in construction-related sales, preferably in ready-mix concrete, aggregates, cement, or construction equipment services.
•Knowledge of the Raleigh-Durham construction market and key players.
•Demonstrated success in B2B sales and account development.
•Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
•Experience working across multiple product lines and services.
•Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
