We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager with a deep knowledge of Micro Grid systems, a strong background in the energy sector, and a proven record working with Utilities and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers. This role will be instrumental in driving market expansion, forming strategic partnerships, and supporting the closing of high-impact deals to accelerate clean energy adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
•Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Utility, C&I and Remote market segments.
•Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including utilities, large energy users, developers, and rural communities.
•Lead top of funnel sales process with outreach to new contacts, prospecting, qualifying projects and managing lead workflow for Pipeline growth.
•Develop and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and ROI analyses tailored to customer needs.
•Collaborate with sales, engineering, finance, and operations to scope and price projects accurately.
•Track and manage opportunities using HubSpot.
•Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote brand and solutions.
•Provide feedback to the product and strategy teams based on customer needs and market trends.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
•5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the renewable energy or microgrid sector.
•Strong network and understanding of the Utility and C&I energy landscape.
•Proven success in developing and closing multi-million-dollar energy or infrastructure projects.
•Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
•Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot.
•Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
•Willingness to travel (25–50%) to meet with partners and attend industry events.
Preferred Experience:
•Technical knowledge of microgrid components, energy storage, and renewable integration.
•Familiarity with energy procurement, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and utility programs.
•Experience navigating regulatory and permitting processes for distributed energy projects.
•Understanding of financing models for energy infrastructure projects.
•Strong understanding of Lead Management, Forecasting and Reporting with HubSpot
