About the Role
We are seeking a highly connected and relationship-driven Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth across North America. This role is ideal for a commercially savvy professional with a strong network in the marine industry and a passion for building customer relationships and expanding market presence.
You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, upselling to our existing customer base, and creating high levels of client intimacy. Your ability to collaborate across teams, understand customer needs, and position our solutions effectively will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities
•Business Development: Drive the growth of our offerings across the US and Canadian maritime markets.
•Customer Engagement: Build deep, trust-based relationships with existing and new clients, focusing on upselling and long-term value creation.
•Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your marine industry network to open doors and build awareness.
•Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across Evac, including sales, marketing, and service teams, to ensure a unified and impactful customer experience.
•Client Intimacy: Develop a deep understanding of client needs and tailor solutions that align with their operational and strategic goals.
•Sales Enablement: Support the creation of marketing and sales materials that effectively communicate the value of our solutions.
•Reporting & Insights: Track engagement, pipeline development, and customer feedback to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
About You
•Experience in the maritime industry, with a strong network across shipyards, OEMs, and vessel operators in North America.
•Proven success in business development, account management, or commercial roles, ideally with experience growing a market presence or product line.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and trust.
•Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of autonomy.
•Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and functions.
•Familiarity with CRM systems and digital sales tools.
•A passion for innovation, sustainability, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
