We are seeking a Business Development Manager who understands these industries and can build relationships that convert opportunities into engineering consulting projects.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and generating consulting engagements within the oil & gas, chemical plant, mining, and water sectors. This individual will work closely with our engineering team to position our firm as a trusted partner for technical and project support.
The ideal candidate has strong industry connections, understands industrial project lifecycles, and can translate client needs into engineering consulting opportunities.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil & gas, chemical, mining, and water sectors.
· Develop and maintain relationships with operators, EPC firms, plant managers, and project decision-makers.
· Generate qualified leads that convert into engineering consulting projects.
· Work with engineering leadership to develop client proposals and project scopes.
· Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
· Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and track sales activity.
· Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure successful project handoff and client satisfaction.
· Monitor industry trends, capital projects, and expansion opportunities across target markets.
· Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or client management within industrial sectors.
· Working knowledge of oil & gas, chemical plants, mining, or water infrastructure industries.
· Strong professional network within one or more of the target industries.
· Proven ability to generate leads and close consulting or technical service opportunities.
· Engineering degree or technical background preferred, but not required.
· Prior experience selling engineering consulting, technical services, or industrial solutions.
· Familiarity with industrial capital projects, plant operations, or EPC environments.
· Commission structure tied to projects generated from sales

· Primarily office-based with local and regional travel to client sites and industry events.
