Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journals.
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Reconcile bank statements and assist in the preparation of financial reports.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with budgeting activities.
- Monitor operational expenses, analyze cost variances, and collaborate with management to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to manage financial data effectively.
- Assist management with processing and tracking expense claims, reimbursements, and any other claims against the organization.
- Work alongside management to formulate annual budgets, track budget performance, and deliver variance analyses.
- Keep a close watch on the company’s cash flow position, predicting shortfalls or surpluses and advising on financial decisions.
- Track and reconcile inventory levels and values, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support inventory audits
- Provide support in the development of financial policies and procedures.
- Identify and correct discrepancies with external accountant in tax records, reconcile tax accounts, and support management in preparing accurate tax returns and adjusting entries.
- Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
- Any other tasks that are required by company management and business
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and bookkeeping principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
