Command Fishing and Pipe Recovery (CFPR) headquartered in Nisku Alberta is the largest well intervention open and cased hole (fishing)company in the Western Canadian Sedimentary basin . With 4 service locations across Western Canada and a sales office in Calgary we supply well intervention expertise and equipment to the Drilling and Service rig industry.
Position Overview
The Billing & Operational Support Specialist will have a robust background in billing and invoicing processes, along with at least 5 years of administrative experience preferably in the oilfield sector. This individual will also need a strong understanding of the tools utilized in fishing oilfield well intervention and pipe recovery. This position is essential for ensuring precise billing and financial reporting, acting as a crucial link between the billing department and the finance, sales, and operations teams.
Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and various ERP systems. Additionally, they should be capable of receiving cross-training to assist with various other administrative and operational inventory management database functions. reporting and serves as an extremely vital link and resource between the billing department and the finance, sales, and operations teams. Critical to success is the ability to demonstrate adaptability to change management.

Duties and Responsibilities
•Under the direction of the Senior Billing & Operational Support Specialist, the Billing Specialist will work with operations and field staff to capture complete and timely data.
•Receive “electronic work job files” from CFPR Fishing, Pipe Recovery, and Rental Product Line supervisors on completion of the jobs in the field.
•Inspect and review job files for accuracy, errors, omissions, additions that are required i.e. inspection charges, hotshot services, tool usage, etc., utilizing various CFPR resources such as the company inventory management system (Tracquip), company price book, third party charge rates, etc.
•Convert the job file into an invoice for manager approval.
•Submit invoice to the company ERP system (Great Plains) and Accounts Receivable for client payment.
•Ensure invoicing aligns with pricing agreements, POs, and contract terms.
•Review for billing discrepancies and resolve issues with customers or internal departments.
•Cross train as assigned in other administrative areas of the company, i.e accounts payable and data base maintenance of the inventory management system (tracquip).
Qualifications and Requirements
•5 years of 'related" experience of billing experience and demonstrated competency preferably in an oilfield services company (equivalencies will be considered).
•Demonstrated high attention to detail and keen eye for recognizing errors.
•5 years of demonstrated experience and competency working with various company ERP platforms i.e. Great Plains, Trakquip, etc.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proven ability to adapt to changing business needs and work collaboratively in a team environment.
•Experience in change management and process improvement is highly desirable.
•Willingness to be cross trained in various administrative and operational functions.
•Strong organizational and time-management skills
•Valid class 5 operators license and reliable transportation to get to and from work.
Lines of Communication- The Billing Specialist will report directly to the Senior Billing & Operational Support Specialist .
