The starting base rate for this position is $23.49/hour. Responsibilities

- Performs all duties related to unloading barges.Â

- Performs general housekeeping related to the barge operation.

- Performs all work safely and efficiently.

- Performs all other assigned work, either verbally assigned or written orders

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required

- Light mechanical skills and basic math aptitude

- Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions

- Ability to write legibly and to complete reports related to unloading barges

- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular and repeated basis

- Ability to climb ladders and/or steps up to 20 feet

- Ability to read and comprehend safety and operating instructions

- Ability to work in enclosed areas, such as barges, wing tanks, etc.

- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, ranging from -10 degrees to 130 degrees

- Ability to work in noisy areas (up to 90 decibels) and dusty conditions

- Ability to work around water at depths up to 100 feet

- Ability to bend, use shovel and broom

- Ability to work with paint using spray gun and paint brush

- Must be able to enter through small openings (barge manholes)

- Ability to coordinate product barge movement to minimize downtime
