Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented 3rd shift Truck Loader to join our warehouse operations team. This is an overnight shift starting at 8:00 pm and in addition to the base pay rate, the candidate would receive a $1.50 per hour night shift premium. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading shipments, ensuring accurate order picking, and maintaining safety standards. This role requires strong physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with warehouse equipment and systems. Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction is highly advantageous. The Truck Loader plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods while adhering to OSHA safety regulations.

Duties

- Load and unload trucks using various heavy equipment such as forklifts and crane operations.

- Operate heavy equipment safely following OSHA guidelines, including forklift and crane operation.

- Handle materials efficiently, including heavy lifting and proper stacking for shipment.

- Assist with shipping & receiving functions, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize loading procedures and improve workflow processes.

- Conduct routine mechanical checks on equipment used during loading activities to ensure proper functioning.

- Follow all safety protocols related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation.

Experience

- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or shipping & receiving is preferred.

- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management preferred.

- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations is a plus.

- Construction or materials handling background can be advantageous for understanding load stability and safety procedures.

- This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and accuracy are prioritized. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks involving lifting up to 50 lbs and operating various types of warehouse equipment while maintaining strict safety standards.
