ASSISTANT Production Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic assistant Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management and a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires basic knowledge of various ERP systems. The assistant Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.

- Develop and implement production plans that align with business goals and customer demands.

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

- Manage quality control processes to ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations.

- Provide leadership, training, and development opportunities for the production team to foster a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.

- Experience in CNC programming for lasers, turret presses, robotics and brake presses. (welding a plus but not necessary)

- Cad/Solidworks experience an added bonus

- Strong knowledge of ERP systems.

- Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.

- Ability to lead teams effectively while promoting a collaborative work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
