We're looking for a talented Assistant Preconstruction Manager to join a top-tier General Contractor specializing in Class-A commercial interiors, high-end tenant fit-outs, and distinctive office spaces throughout the DC area. You'll work alongside industry experts, contributing directly to the success of high-profile, sophisticated interior projects.
Role & Responsibilities:
•Assist in developing accurate budgets, detailed cost analyses, and quantity takeoffs.
•Support the preparation of competitive bid packages by coordinating closely with subcontractors and vendors.
•Participate in subcontractor bid leveling, proposal analysis, and project scope reviews.
•Collaborate with architects, engineers, and internal teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and address project risks.
•Maintain detailed preconstruction documentation, managing RFIs, addenda, and bid updates.
What You Bring:
•minimum 2 years' experience in preconstruction or estimating preferably within commercial interiors.
•Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, combined with strong attention to detail.
•Effective communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships with project stakeholders.
•Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent industry experience.
•Knowledge of the DC commercial construction market highly preferred.
