Assistant Preconstruction Manager – Premier Interiors Projects

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area

We're looking for a talented Assistant Preconstruction Manager to join a top-tier General Contractor specializing in Class-A commercial interiors, high-end tenant fit-outs, and distinctive office spaces throughout the DC area. You'll work alongside industry experts, contributing directly to the success of high-profile, sophisticated interior projects.

Role & Responsibilities:

•

Assist in developing accurate budgets, detailed cost analyses, and quantity takeoffs.

•

Support the preparation of competitive bid packages by coordinating closely with subcontractors and vendors.

•

Participate in subcontractor bid leveling, proposal analysis, and project scope reviews.

•

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and internal teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and address project risks.

•

Maintain detailed preconstruction documentation, managing RFIs, addenda, and bid updates.

What You Bring:

•

minimum 2 years' experience in preconstruction or estimating preferably within commercial interiors.

•

Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, combined with strong attention to detail.

•

Effective communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships with project stakeholders.

•

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent industry experience.

•

Knowledge of the DC commercial construction market highly preferred.
