Position Overview
The Analyst, Commercial & Financial Strategy supports the Commercial team in working on contracts, supplier negotiations, financial modeling, and commercial governance across multiple projects. This role combines strong analytical capability with structured commercial execution to ensure contractual, financial, and risk matters are accurately evaluated, tracked, and communicated. This position provides exposure to the full commercial lifecycle, including contract negotiation, claims and change management, financial performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities Contract & Commercial Support
- Support the drafting, review, and negotiation of supplier agreements, purchase orders, equipment supply, construction, software, and professional services contracts.
- Prepare risk analysis, commercial deviation summaries, and negotiation briefing materials for internal review and sign-off.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and Project teams to ensure contractual alignment, risk mitigation, and compliance across active projects.
- Maintain structured, auditable records of executed contracts and all related correspondence.
- Support commercial inputs to customer proposals and RFP responses, including review of commercial terms, pricing structures, and risk considerations, in alignment with direction set by the Senior Manager.
- Build and maintain commercial analysis models and project performance tracking, and scenario testing.
- Conduct periodic commercial and financial reporting, providing structured insight into performance drivers, margin trends, and commercial risk.
- Support alignment of invoicing and revenue recognition with contractual milestones and project schedules.
- Maintain and update commercial trackers covering insurance certificates, new placements and renewals, bonding, warranty, and close-out documentation.
- Support the procurement and placement of new insurance policies by coordinating with brokers, internal risk teams, and project stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance.
- Log, validate, and track supplier and subcontractor invoices against contractual terms, approved milestones, and purchase orders.
- Monitor payment status, flag overdue or disputed invoices, and coordinate with Finance to support timely resolution and cash-flow visibility.
- Ensure all commercial records are accurate, current, and audit-ready in accordance with internal controls and contractual requirements.
- Support monthly reporting on commercial KPIs including invoice aging, payment performance, insurance compliance, and outstanding commercial risks.
- Identify potential commercial, contractual, and financial risks and escalate to the Senior Manager as appropriate.
- Support internal governance, document control, and audit processes across the commercial function.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization of commercial templates, trackers, and processes under the Senior Manager's direction.
- Support routine commercial interactions with customers and vendors on contractual and performance-related matters, escalating complex or sensitive issues to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Engineering, or Law.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial management, contract administration, or financial analysis, preferably in infrastructure, construction, energy, or clean-technology sectors.- Financial modeling capability and advanced Excel skills; able to build and maintain models independently.
