The Opportunity

Vermilion Energy has an exciting opportunity within the IT/IS group, seeking an AI Enablement Analyst . Based in Calgary, AB this role will report directly to the Enterprise Data & Analytics team. The AI Enablement Analyst will help drive AI adoption and automation across the organization. You’ll act as a champion for responsible AI, identify high‑value use cases, and build scalable solutions that improve decision‑making and operational efficiency.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about AI, analytics, and digital transformation, with experience or growing capability in the Microsoft Power Platform and modern data platforms, and a desire to make impact. The successful candidate will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.

What you will do

- Serve as the internal point of contact and advocate for AI initiatives.

- Partner with business teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver AI and automation use cases.

- Support the execution of the AI enablement roadmap and promote responsible AI practices.

- Contribute to AI governance, policy, standards, and documentation, including enterprise-wide AI adoption and oversight of AI tools.

- Create reusable templates, playbooks, and user guides.

- Deliver training and workshops to drive adoption and confidence in AI tools.

- Build and evaluate solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, AI copilots, and other enterprise AI tools, ensuring alignment with approved tools and standards.

- Develop and enhance analytics and reporting in Power BI.

- Translate business needs into workflows, dashboards, automation, and AI‑assisted tools.

What you will bring

- Experience in analytics, automation, or digital transformation.

- Hands‑on experience with Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Power Platform required.

- Strong understanding of business process improvement.

- Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

- Strong communication and documentation skills.

- Proven ability to develop effective training materials and facilitate engaging training sessions.

- Exposure to AI copilots or generative AI tools.

- Understanding of AI governance and enterprise data practices preferred.

- Experience supporting cross‑functional initiatives or pilots.

- Familiarity with Snowflake considered an asset.
