We are searching for a Design Engineer – AI Enablement on behalf of our client. This is a 6-months contract assignment.(W-2) Early‑career engineering role focused on supporting capital design teams by embedding with engineers and helping apply AI to everyday engineering work (design packages, specifications, calculations support, technical bids, vendor input validation). This role accelerates adoption through hands‑on coaching and workflow standardization. It is not a design authority role.
- Work side‑by‑side with engineers on active design work to demonstrate practical AI use
- Support creation of reusable prompts, templates, and bounded AI agents aligned to engineering workflows
- Help translate successful use cases into repeatable team practices
- Track and report adoption, agent development, and quality/rework indicators
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent experience supporting engineering design deliverables accepted
- Familiarity with engineering documents and workflows in an industrial or regulated environment
- Strong comfort with AI and digital productivity tools
- Approachable, patient, and effective at coaching peers
- Does not assume engineering design authority, approvals, or signatures
- Responsible engineers and checkers retain all technical accountability
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $40.00/hr. to $45.00/hr.
