We are looking for an Administrative Assistant who will be in charge of keeping our administrative team well organized and supported. As a group with a variety of businesses and interests, the specific support will be varied between real estate management, logistics for the exploration industry and restaurant accounts management. Training will be provided, however, it is expected that you will have experience in this type of role, a comfort level with Office products and computers and a valid drivers license.
A great sense of humour, and a no-nonsense approach are assets. Someone who has volunteered their time, and values community service will be a great fit with our company culture and family-oriented organization. A great attribute would be understanding various social media platforms as well.
The job description will be to assist the HR and the accounting and logistics team as required, and have a little fun while doing so. - Data entry in Quickbooks
- Answer calls and manage correspondence
- Organizing and saving HR and training documentation for employees
- Assist in coordinating travel arrangements
- Assist in sourcing supplies for maintenance group and equipment
- Support HR Coordinator and Administration team as needed
- Highly organized, resourceful, and able to learn quickly
- Handle vehicle licensing (stickers), insurance renewals, insurance claims and coordinating repairs
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.
- Complete monthly checks at real estate holdings
- Co-ordinate contractors for repair work at real estate holdings, such as making calls, meeting contractors to let them in.
- Assisting with timely bill payments and reimbursements
- Ensuring employee certifications are fulfilled and up-to-date
- Creating and handling shipments or mail
- Communicating and coordinating with external suppliers
- Assisting with the organization of company events and conferences

- Accounting data entry experience an asset

- Post Secondary education an asset
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License
