Richmond Engineering Works is a dynamic engineering company specializing in the design and manufacturing of bulk material handling equipment and electrical control upgrades. The company was founded in 1996 and has grown to approximately 50 employees including offices in Pittsburgh (home office), Minnesota, and an Oil and Gas Division in Ohio. Our company has expanded and has recently moved into a new office building.
Richmond Engineering is seeking an administrative assistant as a supportive role within our company. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who has strong communication skills and attention for detail. The candidate should have experience working in an office environment, performing administrative tasks, and providing support to coworkers.
The candidate shall have a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
· Clerical tasks such as answering phones, preparing correspondences, and handling any incoming and outgoing mail,
· General office duties such as filing and scanning.
· Scheduling meetings with the ability to set up meetings through online platforms (Go to Meeting, Teams, Etc.).
· Maintain filing systems – hardcopy and electronically.
· Assist engineers with writing purchase orders using Quickbooks.
· Scheduling and coordinating freight shipments – Fed Ex packages, LTL, and Full Truckload.
· Order materials and put together operation and maintenance manuals for projects.
· Ordering office supplies and personal protection equipment (PPE).
· Proof read and assemble inspection reports – hardcopy and electronic PDF.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suits (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat DC with the ability to edit PDF’s.
