Sales Administrative Assistant – Full Time

Baja Construction Co., Inc. was one of the first companies in the U.S. to construct rooftop solar panels for carports. We are a construction company based in downtown Martinez, CA and present a new Sales Assistant support role to serve with a successful sales team. The Sales Assistant conducts sales Intake inquiries, by telephone, email, and internet and tracks sales department activities and proposals. The goal of the job is to provide efficient sales administration support, carrying impact to the team’s growth and success. Duties and requirements include:
•Responsible for tracking all new client inquires, registering clients, and reviewing the new client project files. Screen incoming calls to our main office and forward the caller or messages accordingly.
•Maintain database detail records of sales informational inventories, including client directories, and all proposals.
•Draft construction intake write-ups, bid proposals, and repair proposals.
•Manage the proposal file inventory system.
•Follow up with all client queries, requests, and forward information to sales colleagues or other departments as needed.
•Proficiency in English. Solid communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to professionally express themselves verbally and in writing.
•High school diploma or equivalency, college degree preferred
•1-3 years’ experience in sales or customer service
•Basic office administration skills, with good organizational / detail orientation
•Computer proficiency / ability to work with or learn various software platforms: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel mainly), G-Drive (Google Sheets), Smartbid, etc.
•Most important of all, you must have a strong customer service focus
