We’re seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. This role plays a vital part in supporting our operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and helping us maintain compliance with important water usage regulations in the Austin area.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys solving problems for customers, and is comfortable handling data and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring water usage to enforce water restrictions during drought conditions.
Answer customer calls and provide direct support (not just message taking).
Assist with customer billing, payments, and account-related inquiries.
Maintain district records and perform digital filing.
Enter and retrieve data for compliance and operational reporting.
Generate monthly outdoor watering violation reports.
Draft tailored violation letters and fines.
Communicate with customers regarding compliance issues.
Support processing of violations for current and upcoming districts (estimated 35+ hours/month once all are online).
Qualifications:
Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Prior experience in customer service or administrative support is a plus.
Ability to handle sensitive customer issues with professionalism and clarity.
