Summary

WesTech is in search of an Administrative Assistant. This position provides clerical and administrative support by assisting the team leader and other department members by performing a variety of duties in support of department functions, such as meeting planning, document preparation, or coordinating activities. Requires some independent judgement with the team leader still giving direction.

Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.

Some of the work you will do:

- From knowledge of company policy or procedures:

- - Collects, compiles, records or otherwise gathers data and prepares moderately complex reports and documents with information necessary for decision-making

- Maintain and organize work related materials and documentation

- Compile and distribute drawings and other documentation

- Serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the organization

- Maintain schedules and coordinate resources

- Organize and plan conferences and meetings as needed

- Make non-routine choices within established guidelines, with minimal supervision

- Other duties as requested or assigned

Here are the skills that you need:

- Education:High School graduate or equivalent

- Experience: At least three 3 years of related experience

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading and note taking

- Proficient or higher ability levels with MS Office products including Office 365 and Teams and PDF-Xchange Editor

- Ability to work with others in an office environment and maintain a positive attitude

- Ability to manage multiple, competing deadlines in an efficient and effective manner

- Ability to type at forty (40) words per minute or higher

Here are the skills and qualifications that will set you apart:

- Relevant post-high school training, certification, or coursework

- Experience coordinating and/or managing projects

- Knowledge of or experience with Sharepoint and Microsoft Business Central

- Strong customer service orientation

- Ability to listen and integrate what is said into final product

- Knowledge of or experience with engineering firms or concepts


Physical Requirements:

- Ability to use a workstation using computer/phone

- Regularly required to move around the facility

- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
