Job Overview:

The Accounts Payable Senior is responsible for assisting in the management of the day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, corporate credit card reconciliations, and various other transactional issues. The Accounts Payable Senior must exercise discretion in executing essential functions and be able to work independently, following through on assignments with minimal direction.

Duties:

•

Performs day-to-day Accounts Payable activities including posting AP activity in the PO and ERP systems, ensuring proper coding.

•

Manage the overall invoicing workflow and delegation, including monitoring operations and vendor communication.

•

Manage the main Corporate AP Inbox, communicating effectively with vendors as well as stakeholders regarding invoice and payment status.

•

Assist in the management of the banking processes of the AP function.

•

Investigate and resolve discrepancies associated with processing of invoices and vendor payments.

•

Review appropriate GL coding for invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., in accordance with the Chart of Accounts, conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.

•

Reconcile vendor accounts on an as needed basis.

•

Reconcile P-Card accounts, ensuring proper support documentation for entry.

•

Assist Accounts Payable Supervisor with various ad hoc items as needed.

Experience

•

Strong understanding and knowledge of full cycle Accounts Payable.

•

Associate's degree or higher in Business, Accounting, or Finance.

•

4-6 years' proven experience in an accounts payable role.

•

3-5 years' experience using financial/accounting ERP software (Great Plains is preferred).

•

3-5 years' experience using PO systems (project accounting/coding is preferred).

•

Proficient in Microsoft Office software, particularly, Outlook, Excel and Word.

•

SharePoint experience is a plus.

•

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective interpersonal and collaboration skills.

•

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

•

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
