Job Summary

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 IT Intern - Data & Analytics team

This job involves working as a(n) Data & Analytics intern supporting PSEG’s operational excellence by enabling employees to leverage analytics, data visualization, automation, and continuous process improvement.

This position will be Hybrid Fixed

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

- Work with employees throughout the company to assist them in the design, creation, publishing, update and maintenance of business intelligence reports (e.g. in Power BI) or other data analysis tools (e.g Python, AWS).

- Assistance to client may cover data Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL), data model creation, calculations (e.g. Power BI DAX), report creation, and publishing.

- Assist as needed with data governance or automation governance.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required education/skills: The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related technical field and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029. Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Incumbent must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.

Preferred:

- 3.0 GPA

- Experience with Power BI and/or other data visualization software

- Data Analysis Skills (e.g. ETL, Python, SQL)

- Overall strong technical proficiency in information technology/computer disciplines

- Strong MS Office skills

- Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly

- Detail oriented and demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management and staff

- Good communications, consultative and interpersonal skills, including oral, written and presentation

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
